Irene Noy’s monograph, Emergency Noises: Sound Art and Gender, was launched on Tuesday 28 November 2017 at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. Accompanied by sounds from nature, the author, Professor Simon Shaw-Miller (University of Bristol), Astrid Schmetterling (Goldsmiths) and Frances Carey (The Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust) provided fascinating commentary on the book, which was called ‘world-leading’ in its approach to sound art and gender.
Congratulations to Irene on a fabulous launch!
