Tom Moylan presented with Science Fiction Research Association’s Pilgrim Award

Professor Tom Moylan, one of the editors of the Ralahine Utopian Studies series, was presented with the Science Fiction Research Association’s Pilgrim Award at their annual meeting held in Riverside, California between 28 June and 1 July.

The Pilgrim Award was created in 1970 to honour lifetime contributions to science fiction and fantasy scholarship. Previous winners include Fredric Jameson and Ursula K. Le Guin.

Professor Moylan is the author of Demand the Impossible: Science Fiction and the Utopian Imagination and co-editor of Utopia Method Vision: The Use-Value of Social Dreaming and Exploring the Utopian Impulse: Essays on Utopian Thought and Practice.
